Aerial LiDAR & thermal

We map the ground before we clear it

Nobody else working this ground can show you what is under it. Aerial LiDAR fires hundreds of thousands of laser pulses a second, and the ones that slip through the brush come back off the dirt, so the terrain, the drainage and the low spots are on paper before a dozer ever rolls. We fly the tract, clear it, and fly it again.

  • Bare-earth terrain under standing timber and heavy brush
  • Cut, fill and stockpile volumes before you price the job
  • Thermal after dark: storm damage, solar arrays, searches
  • Data your surveyor or engineer can work from directly
  • Two fleets: DJI Matrice 400 with Zenmuse L3 LiDAR and H30T thermal, plus a Blue UAS Freefly Astro Max for refinery, port and utility sites

Three Steps

How It Works

Three steps, and no surprises between them.

  1. Tell us about the land

Send the address and the acreage, and tell us what you want the land to do. Building, pasture, hunting, or selling all point at different work.

  2. We walk it with you

Free, and on the property. You leave with a written number, a satellite map of your land with every work area measured on it, and a plan for where the spoil goes and where the water goes.

  3. We clear it and hand it back usable

A pad, a pasture, shooting lanes or a buildable lot, finished to the grade we agreed on and ready for whatever is next.

Pricing, Explained

What Clearing Actually Costs

We map every site, so here’s exactly what moves your price up or down.

Acreage & Terrain
Total size, and how flat, wet or sloped the ground is.
Vegetation Density
Light brush and mature timber take different machines and different time.
Equipment Required
Dozer, excavator or forestry mulcher, matched to the job.
Hauling & Disposal
Whether debris leaves the site or is mulched in place.
Site Access
How easily a lowboy and the machines can reach and move around.
Timeline
Standard scheduling versus a rushed turnaround.

Who You Are Hiring

Karl Gillihan

Second generation in logging, farming, land development, and heavy equipment. Karl learned the business from the seat of a machine, in family-owned companies, before he ever wrote a line of code. He carries a TWIC card, OSHA 10 and 30, and Basic Plus, so gate access, site safety orientations and permit-to-work are routine for him, not a first visit.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does land clearing cost?
It depends on acreage, how thick the growth is, what has to happen to the debris, and how the equipment gets in. We walk the property and give you a written number before anything starts. The estimate is free.
How long does a job take?
Most residential clearing runs one to five days depending on size and density. Larger commercial tracts run longer. You get a timeline with the estimate.
What happens to the trees and brush?
Three options: mulch it in place with the mulcher, pile and burn where the county allows it, or haul it off. Burn bans change through the year, so we confirm the current rule for your county before we plan on it.
Do you handle permits?
We tell you what your county and drainage district require and help you work through it. Requirements vary a lot across Southeast Texas, especially near wetlands and inside floodplains.
Do you clear wet ground?
Often, yes. Southeast Texas clay holds water and February and March are the wettest stretch of the year. Sometimes the right answer is to wait two weeks rather than tear up your ground. We will tell you which it is.
