The regrowth here is the standard regional mix and it behaves predictably. Chinese tallow grows fast, seeds heavily and returns hard from cut stumps. Yaupon thickens into clumps a mower rides over. Privet and greenbrier fill in whatever is left and both regenerate from roots. A mulcher is efficient on brush, understory and small timber and slows disproportionately past that, at which point clearing does the job better and cheaper. Heavier where soil needs holding on ground running toward the bayou, thinner where you want cover to come back through it.
